Membership

Hallmark-Camelot-Highland Terrace Neighborhood Association is an all-volunteer organization made up of neighborhood residents and member-elected officers and board members. HCHTNA has been active for over 30 years. The Association has community meetings five times per year, as listed in the sidebar.

Membership is $20/year per Household. Currently accepted forms of payment are cash and check. Meetings are open to all, but residents are highly encouraged to become a member!

HCHTNA exists to protect and promote the best interests of all residents of the area, to encourage community and civic spirit, to promote neighborhood unity and communication, and to cooperate with local officials and civic/public organizations, for the general welfare of the area's residents.

Why become a paid member?

The Association’s recent and ongoing successes include:

  • When HCHTNA is contacted by the city’s Development Services concerning proposed zoning changes, requests for variances, or special exceptions, HCHTNA and its board learn about the proposals and represent the neighborhood at public hearings, having successfully opposed zoning changes including:

  • Changes near single-family homes that would allow bars, off-premise liquor sales, and large truck repairs.

  • Changes from Neighborhood Commercial to Multi-Family at high-traffic intersections.

  • Participate in Fort Worth’s Neighborhood Tree Planting Program to plant more than 30 new shade trees in Camelot Park since 2009.

  • Hold candidates' forums for offices such as state representative, city council member and Tarrant Regional Water District directors.

  • Worked with city representatives to resolve continual flooding at the low water crossing in Hallmark Park and water seepage in Camelot Park.

  • Regular opportunity at meetings to speak with city representatives such as our Neighborhood Police Officer, Code Compliance officers, Community Engagement liaison, and others.

  • Work with traffic engineers from the department of Transportation and Public Works (TPW) on new traffic signals, road construction, and traffic calming efforts in our area.

Recent community events include:

  • Annual Ice Cream Social event held before our June meeting.
  • Annual holiday lights contest with 3 categories of winners.
  • Hosted volunteer groups for the Fort Worth Litter Stomp and Cowtown Great American Cleanup to collect litter along Sheridan Road, Camelot Road, and in city parks.
